If you’re an animal-lover (and I know you are!), chances are you have a furry friend who deserves a little holiday cheer this year. For those special dogs (and cats!) in your life,
I first met Lauren Janis, the founder and Chief Biscuit Maker for Big Daddy Biscuits, in the Roswell Post Office, mailing (what else?) Big Daddy Biscuits to some lucky pup. I immediately went home, checked out the website and ordered some treats for Charlie the Wonder Beagle (see how much he enjoys them? just check out the photo at right!). Big Daddy Biscuits is named after Big Daddy, Lauren’s formerly-stray and now much-loved pet and business partner. He was found severely malnourished and ill, but Lauren adopted him, nursed him back to health and made him the face of Big Daddy Biscuits. In Big Daddy’s honor, Lauren often partners with the Atlanta Humane Society, and in 2011 Big Daddy Biscuits will be sponsoring dogs and paying their adoption fees to help make them more adoptable and find their forever homes more quickly.
